Emily Hammond

Hola, hola! I’m Emily, founder and director of Ready, Set, Kids. With degrees in Italian and Spanish, I have been teaching Spanish to children since 2008 and have a passion for world language and culture, and of course, young kiddos. I started RSK as a place to bring language, art, science, and wellness enrichment programs to kids. Bringing these quality programs to Arlington, and now Medford, and creating this dynamic community has been an incredible joy. I believe strongly that building trust and connection with children in a respectful way is the key to helping them grow, so you’ll often see me having a quiet chat with students inside or outside of the classroom so we can get to know them better. I currently live in Watertown with my husband, three young children, and our rescue dog. We love being outside so when I'm not at RSK, I’m probably out hiking, biking, skiing, skating, camping, or checking out new playgrounds.
